For Diagnostic Imaging specialists, as well as the many general benefits that you get from the Medical-Objects suite of tools, such as secure, reliable and efficient communication of results as well as tools that help you examine and understand the data, you also get other benefits such as:
- The ability to use the Medical-Objects Report Writing software to create your reports
- Send images such as DICOM or JPEG images directly to GPs, Specialists or other Allied Health professionals.
- Real-Time, End-to-End encryption to ensure that you messages get there efficiently knowing that the only person who will see the results is the person that you sent it to
- Message tracking to determine if the results have been received
- The Powerful Microsoft Word plug-in so you can directly work with Word if that's what you are more comfortable with.
- Delivery of reports to customers can be converted to PDF documents at the destination. This is often useful for those who do not have Practice Management Systems such as Chiropractors and other members of Allied health.
Medical-Objects also provide Radiologists the ability to connect with other satellite practices. Radiography practices that use external Radiologists can make their lives easier with smoother workflow, by using a radiologist that can send them their reports directly and securely via Medical Objects.
When reports arrive the radiologist, proof read the report for spelling and grammar, print the report on your letter head, then sent it to the GPs with the results saying that they have come directly from your practice. This avoids all the hassles, and security risks of dealing with email attachments to transfer reports.
If you have a need or desire to produce the next generation of Radiology reports, then medical-objects can assist you to develop highly detailed and clinically usefully reports containing Snomed-CT encoded atomic data. The Medical-Objects network supports linking of dicom images using the HL7 "RP" (Reference Pointer) protocol. This means you can send out reports with links to DICOM images stored on your server and the images can be retrieved dynamically by end users either in native DICOM format or a JPEG representation of the images. This gives end users access to full quality images without forcing them to download large DICOM files. All image transfer is encrypted and authenticated using Public Key Encryption/Signatures.
