Medical-Objects Adapter is an integration tool to enhance and integrate with other messaging systems. As many of the messaging systems used by various providers can differ in subtle ways, Medical-Objects Adapter allows you to perform a variety of different functions on ingoing and outgoing messages to ensure that they reach they destination easily.
Adapter Functionality includes:
- The ability to read the Patients.in file created by Accounting packages that support the Patient.in link interface, such as Medilink, and Pracsoft, transfer the new or changed patient demographics to the Medical-Objects practice server, and also relay the changes onto Medical Director.
- Monitor for files in directories
- Encrypt and Decrypt files
- Perform Email operations (SMIME/PGP/GNUPG)
- Transform messages in a number of ways
- Upload and Download Files
- Perform a number of conversions on the file such as cleaning up HL7 messages to ensure compliance.

The
Medical-Objects HL7 Framework has passed Certification by The
Australian Healthcare Messaging Laboratory (AHML) for its HL7 2.3.1
messages.
Medical-Objects is the first and currently only Australian organisation to obtain
certification for is HL7 V2.3.1 messages. We are proud to say that the entire suite of
Medical-Objects software use the very same compliant HL7 framework and were tested as part of the
certification process.
