The second that a report is created and delivered, Download Client Real Time begins the transmission process. Many other communication products only check for results every thirty minutes. Medical-Objects starts the communication immediately. There is no faster way to get clinical results and letters from one clinician to another than with Medical-Objects Download Client Real Time
This real time connectivity provides a platform that can be used for rich services such as distributed real-time appointments, ePharmacy and many other reasons.
Real Time communications reduces overall cost of follow up by reducing the chance that a practice manager or clinician will call for a result during the 30 minutes after a result has been delivered. This provides benefit for both the referrer and the reporter.

Where a practice management system supports acknowledgements such as Medical Director, Best Practice, Genie or other, Medical-Objects Download Client Real Time can return the acknowledgement back to the user.
Support is provided for multiple levels of acknowledgements which includes
- Was it delivered to the end point
- Was it imported into the practice management system
- Has it been acknowledged by the clinician
PDF Creation Ability
Many clinics such as Specialists and Allied Health may not have a practice management system. For these customers who may just want to receive content, using the Download Client Real Time, they can convert their results directly to PDF, so they can use the existing PDF viewer from Adobe available on most computers.
Integration CapabilitiesCapricorn includes all the same integration facilities found in Medical-Objects Adapter Services straight out of the box. Clinicians who have designated that they will be sending such as specialists and allied health can also use this to deliver messages through this channel. Several clinical packages support sending messages without leaving the product such as Genie and ZedMed.
Medical-Objects Download Client Real Time also provides support for REST style calls from a secure point on your network, so you can integrate several aspects into existing applications. This functionality ranges from sending messages, searching the providers on the Medical-Objects network, checking the delivery status of the messages and more.
Automatic Upgrade
The health landscape changes frequently. With support for multiple practice management systems, updates that are delievered to practices may break new functionality or introduce new capabilities to a practice management system. The Medical-Objects Download Client and Download Client Real Time can automatically upgrade the version of the product without the need for someone to dial-in or contact the site.
Cross Platform Capabilities
Medical-Objects Download Client Real Time has also been ported to the Intel based Macs and Linux platform is available to integrate with selected Practice Management Systems for these platforms. Installation of these products at the moment are provided by Medical-Objects and provide the same efficient real time connectivity services to these platforms.
