Medical-Objects Word Plug-in, as its name suggests is a plug-in to Microsoft Word to create and communicate HL7 compliant documents through Microsoft Word and Corel WordPerfect.

Medical-Objects Word Plug-in makes it easy to sent reports directly from your favourite Word Processing application. Medical-Objects Word Plug-in includes Medical-Objects' certified HL7 framework and included provider lookup as well as intra message digital signature production. Documents that have been created can be saved and reopened without loss of the HL7 data, allowing corrections to be sent that will replace the original document, rather than duplicate it.

Installing Medical-Objects Word Plug-in adds a 'Send' button to word or WordPerfect. Extensive trials involving local Specialist practice staff, have shown that using the Medical-Objects Word Plug-in making sending secure reports simple and in real-time. Reports sent with Medical-Objects Word Plug-in are also available for viewing and editing from Medical Objects Explorer.

Medical-Objects Word Plug-in design also allows it to be used as an integration system from other COM or .NET compatible medical applications that require secure HL7 compliant messaging.
