Not only do we have our clinical communication system that you can use to deliver real-time results to your referrers, but we now offer a clinical pathology edition that scales to your needs.

1. Gateway Edition

The Gateway Edition for Pathology is used by vendors who already have a pathology system that creates HL7 or PIT messages. We integrate with the majority of Pathology systems in the market such as Kestral, MediPath and Auslab. We receive HL7 and PIT results or messages and on send them through the Medical-Objects network. (Outbound Traffic only)

What are the benefits of the Gateway Edition?

• Send your results/reports electronically from your Pathology Lab System directly to your referrers.
• We can convert your systems HL7/PIT messages to comply with Australian Standards (AS4700.2 Pathology Order and Results).
• Real-time delivery of results allowing auditing of delivered reports.
• Point to Point encryption of all results to ensure the highest standards of security
• Enable other providers to send you electronic order messages. (AS4700.2 Pathology Order and Results)
• Delivery of microscope images and the ability to include these images in printed or electronic reports.

2. Pathology Lite Edition

The Pathology Lite Edition is for Pathologists that do not have the need for advanced clinical data access and may only require sending text reports. Groups such as Histology sites where reports may be created primarily as text but with the ability to attach images to the system. (Inbound and outbound traffic)

Features of the Pathology Lite Edition include:

• Create, send and forward results/reports electronically from your Pathology Lab System directly to your referrers.
• Receive reports, letters or results
• Attach images such as charts & microscope images or PDF and RTF documents
• We can convert your systems HL7/PIT messages to comply with Australian Standards (AS4700.2 Pathology Orders and Results).
• Real-time delivery of results allowing auditing of delivered reports.
• Point-to-point encryption of all results to ensure the highest standards of security
• Enable other providers to send you electronic order messages. (AS4700.2 Pathology Order and Results) as well as send your own electronic orders
• Delivery of microscope images and the ability to includes these images in printed and electronic reports.
• Mapping of  local result codes to clinical terminologies like LOINC, ICD and SNOMED-CT.

3. Pathology Full Clinical Edition

The Pathology Clinical Edition is a powerful pathology platform that provides all the benefits of the Gateway and Lite edition and then combines atomic data reports, machine integration, advanced structured reports and decision support systems.

Additional features of the system include:

• Customized Reports: Create structured reporting using our CEN 13606 based Archetypes that provide you with the flexibility to create reports types specifically for your needs
• Use Archetypes contained in Medical-Objects existing Archetype repository
• Create customized work flows
• Export of patient details to clinical billing packages
• Use our decision support platform to apply smart values to reference ranges
• Support for ASTM devices such as Elecsys and Biochem Cobas Integra.

4. Online Results

Online results is a web solution that provides a simplistic but secure means of accessing results by your referrers. Online results provides our larger customers with an optional solution for their referrers.
